Domain Details & Business owners
In order to determine whether a business is genuine or not, it is important to understand who the owners are and what is their professional and business background. The website does not provide any of these details. Additionally, other than a telephone number listed on their webpage, the company does not provide any details of their physical or postal address.
We used scamadviser.com to establish who the domain owner is. The results showed that the domain is registered by Agniya Sanko whose telephone contacts and postal addresses are Russian. Although the website is based in the United States, scamadviser.com advises that there is a high likelihood that it is from the Russian Federation.
Further analysis shows that the website has an average trust rating of 58% and has more than two hundred mirror websites pointing to a potential scam.
Compliance with regulatory requirements
Although this online pharmacy claims to have contracts with reputable, fully licensed pharmacies which dispense medications to customers placing orders through their online escrow service, there is no proof to this claim. The company does not provide any evidence of the existence of these contracts and neither does it provide the names of these registered partners to enable us to undertake a background check.
In the absence of the above details, we undertook to conduct background checks on this online pharmacy with several renown bodies which register and/or regulate the operations of pharmacies in America, Canada, Europe, and Asia. The results showed that this is a phony pharmacy without the relevant licenses, certificates, and approvals.
The image below shows our inquiry at Canadian International Pharmacy Association (CIPA).
Payment and Shipping
The online store only accepts MasterCard and VISA cards and secures the payment process through the application of HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS). However, as shown above, this online drugstore has all the characteristics of an illegitimate supplier and customers should exercise extra cautions when providing credit card data to them.
The website claims to supply drugs worldwide and the drugs are sourced and shipped from India and Pakistan. Shipping is only possible through standard airmail service or trackable Express Mail Service (EMS) for free and at $25 respectively.
Products Range & Pricing
The website describes itself as a medication broker between their customers and licensed pharmacies. It claims to sell a wide range of genuine generic medications including sexual health products, Asthma relief, sleeping aids, cancer symptoms relief, blood pressure medication and much more. Their best sellers page shows that the most popular category of drugs is men’s sexual health drugs and they stock Viagra pills together with its many variants.
The online pharmacy has a pricing regime that makes it among the cheapest drugstores on the internet. However, the store engages in the unethical behavior of selling prescription drugs as over-the-counter drugs significantly exposing their customers to dangers of misdiagnosis or over/underdose.
The drugstore provides support to their customers through the telephone and on email on 24/7 basis. However, they do not have facilities for online order checking or live chat.
The website has a small section on the homepage where they present some testimonials from allegedly satisfied customers. The testimonials are reportedly from their global customers with some being from as far away as US and Britain. However, it was impossible to establish the authenticity of these testimonials.
Pills.center does not provide a customer feedback form making it difficult to establish whether their customers’ experience after using their products.
Moreover, in the modern business environment, having a social media presence is one of the critical success factors for online businesses. Consequently, we conducted a survey of the popularity of this online pharmacy in the social media platforms. To our surprise, we did not find even a single social media entry as evidenced by the following image captured from Scamanalyze.com. This is a rather unusual thing for a business which claims to exclusively conduct its business online.
The website does not offer discount coupons codes for use at checkout points and neither do they give any special offers to their customer.
However, the online pharmacy occasionally gives out gifts in form of free pills and they claim to have a money back guarantee. It is worth noting that, these free gifts and money back guarantees amount to nothing when the actual drugs are counterfeits or contaminated due to poor handling.
After this extensive research, we have observed that Pills.center portrays most of the characteristics of an online scam. Consequently, our conclusion is that this is a one-star online pharmacy and we recommend that customers should avoid it completely.
