Domain Information

The domain name database shows us that this store’s address was first registered in the year 2000. Stores which are using older domain names are more likely to be legit businesses than drugstores using brand new domains. A store like this with a domain which is nearly 19 years old is far more likely to be reliable and trustworthy.

We can also see that a privacy service has been used to hide the real contact information. This is often part of a pattern we find with Scam online pharmacies but since this domain is so long-lived this is more unlikely.

The Canadian Pharmacy Confusion

The name of this store is ‘The Canadian Pharmacy’ and they have a matching domain name. There are unfortunately though, many scam pharmacies online which also call themselves ‘Canadian Pharmacy’, or a similar variation.

These unreliable stores don’t normally use domain names which even have those words in the name, but seem to be often confused with this store. The scam pharmacies aren’t actually based in Canada, they just use the name because many Americans know the drugs are cheaper north of the border.

Business Name and Address

This store provides a contact address and when we run a check on this we find that it is a genuine office location. We are, however, unable to be completely sure if this is an actual operating location or if it is just a virtual office which redirects mail.

The store fails to provide a real business name. They only use ‘The Canadian Pharmacy’ name on the site, but this isn’t a registered company. It may be a DBA (doing business as) name but this doesn’t tell us who operates the store. This lack of transparency isn’t good to find and is of some concern.

Legal Approvals

This Canadian online pharmacy should be abiding by the rules for Canada based stores if they are as legit as they would like to appear.

They display 3 seals for Canadian regulatory associations and one for the Better Business Bureau.

When clicking on the seals they take you to the association sites which confirm that they are valid members as they claim. This is a good indication of a reliable online drugstore.

Their membership to CIPA means that they dispense some of their medication from a Canadian pharmacy.

Also, it means that they have a privacy and security policy in place to make sure that your personal details, including financial information, are kept safe.

LegitScript has reviewed this store, coming to the conclusion that they are ‘unapproved’. This isn’t the worse possible finding even though they don’t meet the standards set out by LegitScript.

Medications on Sale

This online drugstore offers a wide range of both generic and more well-known brand name pills. The drugs are sourced and dispensed from Canada which is good to find.

The big downside with this store seems to be the prices. The drugs seem to be considerably more expensive than other pharmacies online, this, despite selling generic medication and their claims to save you money.

Prescription Requirements

You will need a prescription to order most of the medications available from this pharmacy. Though they do except prescriptions from US doctors these will have to be approved by a Canadian doctor prior to the order being dispensed.

They will also ask you to fill out a questionnaire so that their doctor can better assess your eligibility for the medication you have ordered. This prescription requirement and request for additional patient information shows that, not only, is this store operating within the rules of the regulation that they are following, but also that they take customer safety seriously. These are signs of a legit and reliable online pharmacy.

TheCanadianPharmacy.com Coupon

We haven’t been able to locate any valid coupon for this drugstore.

Payment and Deliveries

This store is secured with a valid SSL certificate and they have additional customer protection provided by Norton. You can pay for the medication from this pharmacy using American Express, international money orders and personal checks.

This online drugstore only sells to US citizens and parcels are sent using USPS. They charge $15 for standard delivery and you can expect to receive the pills in 10 to 14 business days. They also offer expedited shipping which costs $22.50 and they claim orders will be delivered in 7 business days.

Customer Support

The support options seem quite good with this pharmacy. They have an online form, phone and fax numbers, a mailing address and live chat. This would lead us to believe that you would be able to get in contact with customer support if you had a problem with the store.

TheCanadianPharmacy.com Reviews

It is always good to get the perspective of previous customers when you want to learn more about an online drugstore. There are a few TheCanadianPharmacy.com reviews on their own testimonial page. The customer feedback found here is very positive as you might expect, because they are unlikely to post negative comments on their own site.

The comments here do seem to be genuine and we haven’t found any repeat of these testimonials elsewhere. It is normally better to find feedback on independent sites rather than the store itself. There are a few customers reports on the pharmacy’s Facebook page, however.

There are only 3 customer reviews on the Facebook page, two of these are very negative, complaining about nuisance calls and spam email. It seems that the people making these complaints are actually confusing this store with one of the many scam pharmacies which us the name ‘Canadian Pharmacy’.

Conclusion

This Canadian pharmacy appears to be genuinely located in Canada and they have valid regulation from the appropriate organizations in that country. The drugs are sourced in Canada and they require patients to provide a valid prescription where appropriate.

Our findings of this store aren’t entirely positive, though. They don’t provide a registered business name and the prices of their drugs aren’t as cheap as the store seems to promise.

Our conclusion is a rating of 3.2 stars out of 5.

This store is probably a safe choice but there are better options online.

We provide highly relevant information about these pharmacies, which allows you to choose where to shop for your medication and decide what establishments to stay away from. Our content is periodically updated with information about both existing and upcoming online pharmacies.
