Regional Variations
Zavamed operates in six European countries with two brands. They use the DrEd brand in Ireland, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. They use the Zava brand in France and the UK and seem to be in the process of changing all their sites over to this brand. Unfortunately, there isn’t a ZavaMed USA site, though, and their other sites don’t dispatch pills to North America.
Business Details
The business name and address is easy to find on the website and this is a good sign of a legit business. However, the name Zava is just a trading name, the real name of the business which operates this store is actually called Health Bridge Limited. A check on the UK Government site, Companies House, shows us that this is a real business based at the same address as shown on the site.
Regulatory Approval
This company is based in the UK, which means that they have to adhere to the British and European rules for the selling of medicine online. The European rules mean that the online pharmacy needs to be registered with a Government agency and to display the common distance selling logo on their site.
When checking with the agency which governs online pill sellers in the UK we find that they are correctly registered and this registration covers them for all their sites. They are also displaying the logo as they are required and so they are operating legally.
They are also correctly registered with the Care Quality Commission. The CQC visits and audits the company to make sure the doctor service offered is safe, effective, caring, well-led and responsive. Zava was found to meet all these criteria and was operating in accordance with the appropriate regulations.
The drugs are dispensed from their own pharmacy, located at the same address as their offices. This pharmacy is regulated by the General Pharmaceutical Council and we find that they are correctly registered.

The sites don’t offer too many different medications, focusing mainly on treatments which can be prescribed remotely.
