About Domain was registered in April 2002 as an online pharmacy. From the domain name, we can deduce that this pharmacy is based in Canada. However, a Scam analysis using shows otherwise. We are made to understand that this pharmacy could also be based in the USA.

Scam adviser gives this website a very low trust rating, and analysis results show that it has been given a low-reliability rating by other sites as well. Several clients have also reported the site as being untrustworthy. In view of the confusing information regarding the location and reliability of this drugstore, clients are therefore advised to proceed with caution when dealing with this pharmacy.

Business Address

The company goes by the name Marks Marine Pharmacy. Unlike most online pharmacies, the owner of this drugstore is clearly displayed as Robert Rosenblatt, who happens to be the owner of the domain name as well

It is a pleasant surprise that this pharmacy clearly indicates their business address. The company claims to be a brick and mortar pharmacy located at 239 SE Marine Drive, Vancouver, BC Canada V5X 2S4. The transparency that this company offers augurs well with many customers. That is probably the main reason they have been in business for quite a long time.

Licenses and Legal Approvals

Marks Marine Pharmacy is a licensed Canadian drugstore. The company clearly displays its license number as #20888. However, we cannot confirm if the license number is valid.

Despite the company’s claims of legitimacy, they do not have any other legal approvals or certifications from regulatory agencies. A check on the Canadian International Pharmacy Association (CIPA) indicates that this pharmacy does not exist in their database.

CIPA – Canadian International Pharmacy Association

Furthermore, this pharmacy does not have an approval from Legitscript as it does not meet the minimum verification standards.

LegitScript Verification

The only approval comes from Pharmacy Checker, where the company apparently satisfies all verification standards.

Available Products

The pharmacy claims to offer over 30,000 different brands of medications. You can get both generic medications and brand-name drugs. Apparently, the most popular medication on this platform is insulin, a diabetes control drug. The pharmacy can refill and ship all types of insulin including Lantus, Novolog and Humalog, among many others.

Unlike most online pharmacies, this pharmacy is very strict when it comes to the purchase of medications. You have to submit a prescription when purchasing any medication marked Rx. You may send your prescription via fax, email or mail, depending on your preferences. Nevertheless, over the counter drugs do not require a prescription.

The pharmacy is also very strict when it comes to the purchase of controlled substances or narcotics.

When it comes to pricing, Marks Marine claims to offer medications at 80% less than the normal prices. For you to know the price of a particular medication, you have to utilize the search feature by entering the product name on the space provided. This is rather cumbersome, especially if you do not know the name of the medication. When faced with such challenges, it becomes imperative for you to call the pharmacy to get the name of the medication that you want.

This pharmacy claims that you can save up to 100% in insurance charges by purchasing your medications from them. We believe that the pharmacy could be selling generic drugs and that is why the prices are extremely affordable.

Payments accepts payments through a number of options. Accepted credit cards include VISA and American Express only. You may also pay via e-check, which is also a convenient way of securing your credit card data.

All transactions are encrypted using SSL encryption. This ensures that clients’ personal information remains confidential and credit card data remains discreet.

Shipping and Delivery

This pharmacy ships packages to all countries and delivery times depend on the destination. The company offers several shipping options. These include

• Canada regular post – Shipping costs $14.75 and takes approximately 14 days
• Canada Expedited post – Shipping costs $19.95 and takes approximately 8-10 days
• Canada Express Post – Shipping costs $24.95 and takes approximately one week
• Overseas Expedited Post – Shipping cost is $15 (flat fee) and takes 21 days
• Shipping with United States Post Service (USPS) – This is a trackable option and costs depend on the current rates charged by USPS

Marks Marine Pharmacy Reviews & Testimonials

Most of the customer reviews are positive, except one. The positive reviews speak highly about this pharmacy, with the main focus revolving around pricing of medications and speed of delivery. Among the reviews, Bob from San Antonia was very happy with the delivery speed, while Rose from Seattle was satisfied with the pricing. The only negative review came from Axel from Miami Beach, who was unhappy about receiving spam email from this pharmacy.

Is Mark Marine Pharmacy legit or a scam?

Mark Marine Pharmacy seems to be legit. The number of complaints raised about this pharmacy is very minimal. In addition, according to the customer reviews, the majority of clients seem happy with the services offered by this pharmacy. The fact that it has been in existence for close to two decades says a lot about its services. The pharmacy also insists that you must provide a prescription before purchasing any medication, which is rather commendable in our opinion.

Nevertheless, this pharmacy only has one approval from pharmacy checker. The rest of the approval bodies have given this drugstore a wide berth, which raises questions about its legitimacy. In addition, this pharmacy has been listed as untrustworthy on scam adviser, which is rather confusing. The license number that they are using is also questionable, as we were unable to confirm its validity. From the look of things, it is advisable that you proceed with caution when purchasing from Mark Marine. It seems that it was once a reliable pharmacy that is fast losing trust among clients.

For these reasons, we can only give it a 3.2 rating out of 5.

  1. We stumbled over here different web address and thought I might check things out.
I like what I see so now i am following you. Look
forward to checking out your web page repeatedly.

  2. I have been researching this pharmacy to potentially use myself. I have no answer and have not used them yet and as such have no star rating for them.

However, I was wondering why you put weight on ScamAdvisor?

It seems to have two issues with this pharmacy. Like your screenshot above, when I search it, it also seems to think the site is US based but the business is not, which it highlights red as the top problem. I fail to see how the server location has any relevancy, as the site doesn’t even pretend to be US. A server can be anywhere, they may not even know where their provider is hosting from. I don’t see how that is an indicator of anything. (I personally have a website that is hosted in Colorado, but I do not live there, does that make it a scam too?)

It also vaguely references bad reviews. The only negative review I’ve seen is one you’ve chosen to highlight in an image above. If you read it, the reviewer is upset because they got an email reply in ALL CAPS. I fail to see how such a review goes to the credibility of the pharmacy in any way. Clearly that review should be purged as has no relevance to anything but the state of mind of the reviewer, who had no other issues with them.

I have never heard of ScamAdvisor previous to this, but these two issues they highlight concern me they are not a trusted source themselves.

I have looked the pharmacy up on Google street view and they appear to be a legitimate storefront in a small shopping plaza. I would love to have more info about this pharmacy, especially those who are local to the area who may actually shop there in person. The license number is perhaps the most concerning, but I would wonder why local officials would allow them to run a business for 20 years if it were not properly licensed.

  3. This looks more like a way to lead you to another pharmacy’s website, especially with the way you have popup coupons trying to send me to another online pharmacy.

If you go to Independent Association of Canadian online pharmacies at
*******.com/canadianpharmacy/rxcanada4less.html and see how well they rank there.

You can read a review that is the complete opposite. (as in better rated). Also anyone checking yelp, google plus, or other online rating sites will see that they have a ton of great reviews.

  4. this is a fantastic pharmacy. I’ve been using them for years. Always come through. This site rating them is what is NOT legit. Marks is great and for real.
