Domain Name Information
This pharmacy hasn’t been in business for very long. With a registration of under a year, there are far greater risks and much more chance that this is a scam.
The registration contact details don’t help change our opinion either. Instead of being told the owner and their address, a privacy protection service has been used to keep this information hidden.
While this obviously doesn’t look very good, this may not be intentional and could have been something that was automatically included when the domain was purchased.
Business Profile
The pharmacy calls itself a Canadian drugstore, but they don’t provide any business contact information. They do have a business name but that is basically just their domain name; MedShopCPL.com Ltd.
When we search for this business name, we get no results other than the pharmacy website itself. This leads us to suspect this is not a genuine business name since there is no indication in official records or anywhere else.
This increases the chances that this pharmacy is a scam, as why else would they be using a fake business name?
Regulatory Approval
The pharmacy does not display any regulatory seals on their website. The only mention of any form of regulation on the website is in the FAQ, and all it says is that the pills are approved by the Indian FDA.
This is strange given that the pharmacy keeps saying it is Canadian. It would be more expected to find the pharmacy talking about Canadian regulations. The reason for this is probably because this isn’t a Canadian drugstore.
But wherever the pharmacy is actually based, we have no evidence that they are currently regulated as they should be.
Pills Sold
They appear to be selling almost entirely generic drugs, and while they don’t say directly where the meds are dispensed from, the evidence seems to point towards India.
Prices for the pills are low, but they aren’t telling us who is manufacturing these generic drugs. The store offers a smaller range of medicines than you would normally expect from a regular drugstore. Treatment options include:
- Heart disease
- Weight loss
- Antidepressants
- Antacid
- Men’s health
But whatever treatment types you choose from this pharmacy, there has to be a suspicion that the pills they sell are not high-quality. Since we don’t know the name of the manufacturer or where they are dispensed from, this is likely the case.
This is quite a problem and means that the tablets sold by the store might not even contain the correct ingredients you would expect. This potentially has very serious consequences for anyone who has to rely on the medicine supplied by this drugstore.
Bonus Pills
This pharmacy offers free men’s health drugs with every order. While that might seem like a great idea, there are a few problems.
The fact that they offer these drugs whatever you buy means that they do not require a prescription as they should. Additionally, they will be sending these men’s health drugs to people who they are completely unsuitable for.
It also increases the chances that the pills are actually very low-quality, which makes sense if they are able to give them away for free to every customer. This is not the sort of thing you would normally expect from a reputable business.
Payment and Shipping
Payment is completed on a different website that does have some security, and you can choose between the following options:
- American Express
- Discover Network
- MasterCard
- Visa
There are two options for shipping from this pharmacy. The slow and cheaper option is their standard airmail servicewhich costs $12.95 and takes as long as 3 weeks. If you’re willing to spend more than double at $29.95, their courier delivery might see your meds arrive within 9 business days.
Medshopcpl.com Reviews
The pharmacy does have a page for MedShopCPL.com reviews. However, when we check this page we find an obvious problem; the feedback is fake.
We have seen these customer testimonials on other scam pharmacy sites and they aren’t believable. You wouldn’t normally expect, for example, the customers’ age to be given the real testimonials.
Conclusion
There are many problems with this drugstore so we give them 0.9 star. They are lying about being Canadian, don’t have any regulatory approval, and we aren’t really sure the drugs are coming from.
Choosing to use this pharmacy would be a mistake that we don’t recommend you try.
