Domain Name Information

The domain name records tell us that this site was originally registered in 2004. This is a great sign of a legit business. Scam online pharmacies tend to not be around for very long with short registrations.

The name and address of the business which registered the domain address can’t be found in the records. The owners have chosen to hide their contact details from the public records, an additional fee can be paid for this service when the domain is renewed. This isn’t a particularly good thing and something which we don’t like to see with an online drugstore.

Business Contact Details

An address for this business is easy to find on the site. This is a sign of a good business and may suggest this is a legit organization.

However, the business name is only given as Canada Prescription Plus and we are not certain that this is actually a real business entity. A search on the Canadian Government database provides no results.

This may just be a trading name, but they should really provide the registered business name as well. The real-world pharmacy which works with this site isn’t mentioned on the store itself, a check on the Pharmacy Checker page does tell us about York Pharmacy. York Pharmacy is associated with many other Canadian online drugstores as well.

Legal Approvals

Legal regulatory approvals are a way in which consumers are protected from scam online pharmacies.

As a Canadian business, this site can seek membership to several regulatory associations. They claim and use seals for CIPA, IPABC and The use of these seals is correct as they do indeed have memberships with these organizations.

Despite having a membership to these regulatory associations not everyone agrees that this is a reliable online pharmacy. has reviewed this site and drawn the conclusion that this is an unapproved pharmacy site.

The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) is a US Government agency which promotes the highest pharmacy standards to protect the public. They agree with LegitScript and have this online drugstore on their list of not recommended sites. They also believe this store to be in violation of the rules and of selling unapproved medicine.

Medicine on Sale

This online drugstore has a wide range of products, comparable with what you might expect in a real-world drugstore. The prices do seem higher than many other online pharmacies that we have found.

It should also be noted, that though this claims to be a Canadian pharmacy, your pills can be sent from a number of other countries besides Canada.

Prescription Requirements

As you might expect, given the name of the site, prescriptions are required for most of the medicine available on the store. You are required to mail or fax the prescription to them before they will dispense your pills. Coupon

We haven’t been able to find a discount code for this online pharmacy. They do, however, offer you a discount on future purchases of $10 for every person you refer to them. Their refer-a-friend program is open to all customers and there is no upper limit to the discount you can achieve.

Payments and Delivery

Drugs can be paid for using E-checks, money orders, personal and bank certified checks. They do not seem to accept credit cards at this time.

Shipping costs $9.95 for deliveries, though an additional fee can be charged for heavier packages. Orders over $300 qualify for free delivery. This online pharmacy only supplies drugs within North America.

Customer Support

The customer support options seem quite good, with phone, fax, email and regular mail as options, along with an online form. They even provide customer support to Spanish speakers if that is needed. There is also the option to call a pharmacy technician if you have a question about your medication. All their phone numbers are even toll-free. Reviews

The Internet has made it really easy to share your opinion of a business you’ve shopped with, whether it be positive or negative feedback. This information is incredibly useful to other potential shoppers to better understand if they should put their trust in a particular business. We have found several sources of reviews.

They have a testimonial page on the site itself. This, of course, isn’t going to be the most impartial place for customer feedback as the page is uploaded by the owners of the site.

The reviews found on the testimonial page do seem to be genuine. Though, one thing to note was that there are four quotes from the same person. Karen C. from Kansas certainly had a lot of very positive things to say about the company.

The reviews found on Google are far less positive, averaging only 2-stars. These reviews do also appear genuine and haven’t been curated to weed out the negative.

More customer reviews are to be found on the Pharmacy Checker site. These reviews are largely negative with a few exceptions, achieving an average rating of just one star.

It is very clear that the value of the testimonial page on Canada Prescriptions Plus is very low when you want to assess this online pharmacy. The difference between that page and the majority of reviews found on more independent sites is vast.

So, is this really the best Canadian online pharmacy? In our opinion no, which is why they get a rating of 3.0 out of 5 from us.

We give them an average rating because when we find something good we quickly find something else which contradicts it. Whilst they do have some regulatory oversight, NABP and LegitScript don’t recommend you use this pharmacy. The testimonials on their site are great, but when you look elsewhere you discover a lot of disappointed customers. Their website has been around for a long time, but they are hiding their contact details in the records.

Overall, there are better online pharmacies out there.
